The UV within these systems ensures that the bacteria and viruses are killed, which are essential for making drinking water. In addition, these UV installations contain filters that purify certain substances that you want to purify! There are standard filters for this that are included, which in turn purify the most important substances (besides bacteria and viruses). In principle, this means that any type of water can be purified into drinking water.

In addition, it is also possible to replace the filters within these systems. Standard, for example, is a PP filter that removes sediment, rust, scale and sand. Suppose you notice that there is not much of this in the water, but the water is rather brown in color, you can replace this PP filter with a Manganese filter. In addition, there are UV systems with 1, 2 and 3 filters, so you can, as it were, put together your mix yourself.

A PRE-filter is recommended when purifying all water except drinking water, as this purifies twigs, etc. before they can enter the system, which means that the system itself is better preserved and no damage to filters can occur by large parts.
